You know how sometimes you just aren’t “feeling it” ?

 

When it comes to creative things like writing, making music, videos or any other kind of art there’s just no point in trying to force it

 

But that can lead to problems if you rely on creativity for your income

 

Still though, taking a step back, doing nothing and letting the batteries recharge is all part of the process and needs to be done.

 

When you do that you tend to come back to it strong and produce work that way more than pays for the down time you allowed yourself.

 

However being able to do this is a luxury. A luxury you don’t have in the regimented world of 9-5 employment

 

You need to turn up to get paid whether you’re feeling it or not. Of course you can take a duvet day, leave a message on the office answer machine with a little fake cough : )

 

But only once in a while. You only get a little allowance of sick days and if you take too many tongues start to wag behind the scenes.

 

When I used to work in an office I left on time if my work was done. But there was one guy who always stayed late if the boss was still at his desk.

 

To get to the door meant walking past both and I could clearly see that goody two shoes was just surfing the web. Nevertheless he’d always sneak in a little comment like “Off you pop then”.  Horrible and sad.

 

Its estimated that 9-5 workers are only actually productive for about 20% of the time they are at work.

 

If this is true for productivity in general you really need to make that 20% count.

 

I’ve found that high ticket online affiliate marketing is the absolute best way to do that. Here’s why.

 

If you create blog posts, videos, ads etc to promote high profit products and services only when you are In flow - at the peak of your powers - they tend to be very effective.

 

They also have the huge advantage of continuing to work for you weeks, months or even years later.

 

You can’t say the same for giving your all to the 9-5 job. Makes no difference to your bottom line. You get paid the same for your time whether your work is great or just adequate.
